Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of trabeculectomy combined with Mitomycin C in the treatment of glaucoma. Methods A total of 106 glaucoma patients who underwent surgical treatment in Fushun Ophthalmopathy Hospital from December 2016 to December 2018 were selected as observation objects.According to the simple randomization method, patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 53 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with conventional trabeculectomy.Patients in the observation group were treated with trabeculectomy combined with Mitomycin C.The success rate of treatment, intraocular pressure level and postoperative complication rate of patients in the two groups at different time periods were observed. Results The success rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The postoperative intraocular pressure in the two groups was lower than that before operation, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in IOP between the observation group and the control group before and 1 week after operation (P>0.05).At 3 months,6 months and 12 months after operation, the intraocular pressure of the patients in the observation group was lower than that of the patients in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Trabeculectomy combined with Mitomycin C is effective in the treatment of glaucoma. It can improve the success rate of surgery, lower the intraocular pressure of patients better, and does not increase postoperative complications. The treatment effect is safe and reliable, and has high application value.
