Abstract:Objective To investigate the role of continuous rehabilitation management in preventing falls in elderly patients with mild cognitive impairment. Methods A total of 52 elderly patients with mild cognitive impairment admitted to Fuxin Central Hospital of Liaoning Province from February 2018 to July 2019 were selected as the research subjects.According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 26 cases in each group. The control group underwent routine management, and the observation group underwent continuous rehabilitation management. Two groups were intervened continuously for 6 months after discharge to observe the compliance, the incidence of falls and the ability to take care of themselves. Results After 6 months of different management, the incidence of falls in observation group was lower than that in control group, the compliance in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The observation group′s self-care ability scores at 1 month,3 months and 6 months were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Continuous rehabilitation management can effectively prevent or reduce the incidence of falls in elderly and young patients with cognitive impairment, maximize patient compliance, and improve their self-care ability.
