Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical effect of vertebral kyphoplasty bone cement injection in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures at different sites. Methods Retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 90 patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture admitted to Leping Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2018 to February 2020.According to different fracture sites, the patients were divided into upper and middle thoracic segment (30 cases),thoracolumbar segment (30 cases) and lower thoracic segment (30 cases).all three groups were treated with kyphoplasty bone cement injection.Oswestry disability index (ODI),visual analogue scale(VAS) score,Cobb Angle and perioperative indicators were compared among the three groups. Results There was no statistically significant difference in ODI,Cobb Angle and VAS scores among the three groups before treatment (P>0.05).After treatment,Cobb Angle in the three groups were lower than those before treatment,VAS score and ODI were lower than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference between the three groups in operation time, amount of bone cement injection and number of intraoperative transmission (P>0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of vertebral kyphoplasty bone cement injection in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures in different parts is significant,so it is worthy to be widely used in clinic.
