Abstract:miRNA is a kind of RNA molecules existing in plants and animals.Each of them can regulate one or several genes,possessing a very complex regulation network.According to the research so far,miRNA regulates one-third of human genes at least.miR-212 is a newly discovered miRNA,its expression plays a very important role in the occurrence and development of human diseases.It has great potential research value in explaining the pathogenesis of related diseases,screening diagnostic markers,treating diseases,developing new drugs and predicting disease prognosis.This paper reviews the effect of miR-212 in cancer,cardiovascular disease,neurodegenerative disease and other diseases for clinical reference.
