Abstract:Objective To study the influence of biotinylated microfibrinopeptide modified IGF-1 on myosin gene expression in rabbits with myocardial infarction. Methods A total of 28 healthy male New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into the control group, experimental group 1,experimental group 2,and experimental group 3,and there were 7 ones in each group. In the control group, rabbits were performed with thoracotomy but without ligation of left anterior descending branch of coronary artery. For experimental group 1,2,and 3,model of myocardial infarction in rabbits was established. After successful modeling, biotinylated microfibrinopeptide modified IGF-1 was injected in the experimental group 1.In the experimental group 2,biotinylated microfibrinopeptide IGF-1 without modification was injected. In the experimental group 3(myocardial infarction)and control group(without ligation),the same dose of normal saline was injected. The gene expression of myosin was determined 8 weeks after surgery. Results Compared with the control group, theexpression level of myosingene in the experimental group 3 was significantly decreased, but in the experimental group 1 and 2,the gene expression level were greatly increased(P<0.05).The expression level of myosin gene in the experimental group 1 was significantly higher than that in the experimental group 2.Conclusion Acute myocardial infarction will attenuate the gene expression of myosin in rabitts. Both IGF-1 and biotinylated microfibrinopeptide modified IGF-1 can improve gene expression of myosin in rabbits with myocardial infarction, but the effect is better in the latter.
