Application effect of SPOC teaching mode in clinical probation teaching of surgical nursing

Abstract:Objective To analyze the application effect of small scale restricted online courses (SPOC) teaching mode in clinical probation teaching of surgical nursing.Methods From January to November in 2018, 200 undergraduate nursing students (15th grade and 16th grade) were selected as subjects.They were all from Hongqi Hospital affiliated to Mudanjiang Medical College.They were divided into observation group and control group by drawing lots, 100 cases in each group.In the observation group, the SPOC teaching mode was used, while in the control group, traditional clinical probation mode was adopted.The teaching effect of the two groups was compared.Results The score of theoretical knowledge of the observation group was higher than those in the control group (P<0.05).The score of participating in teaching activities of the observation group was higher than those in the control group (P<0.05).In the observation group, the scores of teaching content and teaching mode evaluation were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The SPOC teaching mode has marked effects in the clinical probation teaching of surgical nursing.It can improve students′ learning initiative and theoretical knowledge scores, and increase students′ participation in teaching activities, on the other hand, it improves students′ appraisal on teaching.
