Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of cluster nursing in the maintenance of central venous catheter(CVC) in the department of cardiology. Methods A total of 258 patients diagnosed and treated in our hospital from August 2016 to August 2018 were selected as subjects. The patients were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the order of diagnosis and treatment. Among them, 138 patients diagnosed and treated from August 2016 to August 2017 served as the control group, and 120 patients from September 2017 to August 2018 served as the observation group. The control group was given routine catheterization nursing measures, and the observation group was given cluster nursing on the basis of the control group. The CVC catheter-related blood flow infection rate, unplanned extubation rate, catheterization and hospitalization days were observed and compared between the two groups. Results The infection rate of CVC related blood flow in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05), and the rate of unplanned extubation in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistical differences (P<0.05). In addition, the days of catheterization and hospitalization in the observation group were also shorter than those in the control group, with statistical differences (P<0.05). Conclusion Cluster nursing can effectively reduce the CVC catheter-related blood flow infection rate and unplanned extubation rate, and reduce the catheterization time and hospitalization days of patients.
