Abstract:ObjectiveTo study the effect of hyperglycemia on pulmonary function of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)patients in acute exacerbation stage and clinic remission stage.Methods125 acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD)patients hospitalized our hospital in Department of Respiratory Medicine from June 2015 to September 2016 were selected.According to the fasting blood glucose level(FBG),the 125 cases were divided into two groups.Forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),forced vital capacity(FVC),total lung capacity(TLC),diffusion capacity for carbon monoxide(DLCO)were measured at admission and 6 months after discharge. The relationship of FBG and pulmonary function was analyzed.Results①The levels of TLC and DLCO were both significantly lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.01)at admission and 6 months after discharge.②At admission, there was a negative correlation of TLC,DLCO and FBG in the observation group,respectively(r=-0.472,-0.516,allP<0.01). ③At 6 months after discharge, there was a negative correlation of TLC,DLCO and FBG in the observation group,respectively(r=-0.465,-0.528,allP<0.01).④There was no significant difference between the two groups in FEV1,FVC and FEV1/FVC(P>0.05).ConclusionLung diffusing capacity and restrictive ventilatory dysfunction of AECOPD with hyperglycemia are further damaged, obstructive ventilatory disturbance is not damaged.Making a strict glucose control on AECOPD patients in hospitalization is necessary.
