Effect and safety of Amitriptyline Aydrochloride Tablets combined with self-made traditional Chinese medicine decoction in the treatment of tension-type headache

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect and safety of Amitriptyline Hydrochloride Tablets combined with selfmade traditional Chinese medicine decoction in the treatment of tension-type headache.Methods A total of 150 patients with tension-type headache who were admitted to the Second People′s Hospital of Dalian from March 2017 to March 2019 were enrolled.The patients were divided into intervention group (75 cases) and control group (75 cases)according to the random number table method.The control group was treated with Amitriptyline Hydrochloride Tablets,and the intervention group was treated with Amitriptyline Hydrochloride Tablets and self-made traditional Chinese medicine decoction.The effect of treatment,headache and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the intervention group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The degree of headache and total adverse reaction rate in the intervention group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of Amitriptyline Hydrochloride Tablets and self-made traditional Chinese medicine decoction can alleviate the headache degree of patients with tension-type headache,improve the therapeutic effect,and has high safety.
