Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of hysteroscopy in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP). Methods The clinical data of twenty-four patients with CSP admitted to our hospital from March to October 2018 were analysised, they were divided into two groups according to the different treatment. The control group (n=20) was treated with drug +ultrasound-guided curettage, and the study group (n=4) was treated with uterine artery embolization + hysteroscopic treatment. The intraoperative blood loss and operation time of the two groups of CSP patients were observed and compared. The levels of β-chorionic gonadotropin (β-HCG) and the time required for menses and β-HCG levels to return to normal were compared between the two groups. Results The intraoperative blood loss of the study group was less than that of the control group, and the operation time was shorter than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The level of postoperative β-HCG in the study group was lower than that in the control group. The recovery time of menstruation and β-HCG level were shorter than those of control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Hysteroscopy can more clearly show the patients′ lesions and its surroundings than ultrasound. Simultaneously, hysteroscopy can reduce the amount of bleeding during surgery and shorten the operation time and recovery time of patients. Hysteroscopy plays a positive guidance in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of CSP pregnancy.
