Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Paclitaxel combined with Cisplatin in the treatment of advanced esophageal cancer. Methods Fifty-six patients with advanced esophageal cancer admitted to our hospital from January 2015 to November 2017 were divided into control group(n=28)and observation group(n=28)according to random number table method, the patients in the control group were given conventional treatment, while the observation group was treated with Paclitaxel conbined with Cisplatin, the total effective rate, mean survival time, tumor progression time, quality of life and the total incidence of adverse reactions were compared of patients between the two groups. Results The total effective rate in the observation group of patients was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The mean survival time and tumor progression time in the observation group of patients were longer than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The score of quality of life in the observation group of patients was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).Conclusion In the clinical treatment of advanced esophageal cancer, the combination of Paclitaxel and Cisplatin can not only improve the total effective rate, prolong the average survival time and tumor progression time, but also improve the quality of life of patients. It is worthy of promotion in clinical application.
