Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of application of early intervention in the treatment of premature infants with brain injury.Methods Altogether 100 cases of premature infants with brain injury who were treated in our hospital from January 2014 to April 2015 were selected as the objects of this research and divided into the intervention group(n=50)and the control group(n=50)according to the random number table method.The control group was given the routine comprehensive treatment,while the intervention group was given the intervention treatment on the basis of the control group at one month after birth and was followed up regularly via phone and visits.The extinction time of subependymal cyst was judged by the results of head B-mode ultrasonography.The development assessment of two groups was performed by using Gesell developmental schedule.The imaging examination results at 6 months,the neurological abnormalities at 6-12 months,the MDI and PDI scores at 6,12,and 24 months,and the neurological outcome at the age of 3 were compared between two groups.Results There was no statistically significant difference in the results of head magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)and head computed tomography(CT)at 6 months after birth between two groups(P>0.05).The total incidence of neurological abnormalities at 6-12 months after birth in the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of MDI and PDI at 6,12,and 24 months after birth in the intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of neurological prognosis at the age of 3 in the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Early intervention therapy has significant benefits to improve the symptoms of brain injury in premature infants.It can effectively promote the normal physical and intelligent development of premature infants,improve their quality of life,and have important significance for their future growth and development.
