Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of laparoscopic surgery and traditional open surgery in the treatment of acute appendicitis. Methods A total of 120 patients with acute appendicitis in our hospital from January to December 2017 were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to surgical methods, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional open surgery while the observation group was treated with laparoscopic surgery. The clinical treatment effects of the two groups were compared. Results The operation time of the patients in the observation group was obviously shorter than that of the control group. The amount of bleeding in the observation group was less than that of the control group, and the incision was less than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The recovery time of gastrointestinal function, ambulation time and hospitalization time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with traditional laparotomy, laparoscopic surgery can obviously shorten the treatment time, reduce the incidence of complications, promote recovery, and has high clinical application value.
