Abstract:ObjectiveTo observe the short-term effect of skipping anterior cervical decompression and fusion in the treatment of two-segment noncontiguous cervical spondylotic myelopathy.Methods42 patients suffering from two-segment noncontiguous cervical spondylotic myelopathy skipping anterior cervical decompression and fusion were enrolled, from May 2012 to May 2017 in our hospital.By using the method to random number table is divided into control group and observation group,21 cases in each group, the control group conventional therapeutic method and the observation group skipping anterior cervical decompression and fusion in random. The improvement rate, segmental anterior convex angle,NDI and JOA scores in two groups were compared.ResultsThe indexes of improvement rate, segmental anterior convex angle,NDI and JOA scores in patients of the observation group treated by skipping anterior cervical decompression and fusion were all superior to those in the control group(P<0.05).ConclusionFor patients with two-segment noncontiguous cervical spondylotic myelopathy, application of skipping anterior cervical decompression and fusion can increase the improvement rate,be beneficial for restore the physiological curvature of the cervical vertebra, and improve the patient's segmental anterior convex angle.
