Abstract:ObjectiveTo analyze the effects of Lidocaine and Articaine on mandibular molars irreversible pulpitis anesthesia of mandibular molars.MethodsFrom January 2013 to December 2016,96 patients with irreversible pulpitis of mandibular molars underwent pulpotomy in our hospital were selected and randomly divided into the Lidocaine group and the Articaine group,48 patients in each group. In the anesthesia of alveolar nerve infiltration,2%Lidocaine+1∶100 000 adrenaline was used for nerve block anesthesia and 4%altecaine+1∶100 000 adrenaline was used for nerve block anesthesia, respectively. The anaesthetic onset time, intraoperative and postoperative VAS pain scores, and satisfaction degree with surgical anesthesia were recorded and observed between the two groups. The difference in anesthetic effects between the two anesthesia methods was compared.ResultsThe time of onset of intraoperative and postoperative anesthesia in the Articaine group was shorter than that in the Lidocaine group (P<0.05),the pain score in the Articaine group was significantly lower than that in the Lidocaine group (P<0.05),the satisfaction rate of anesthesia effect in the Articaine group was significantly higher than that in the Lidocaine group(P<0.05).ConclusionIn the case of mandibular molar irreversible pulpitis requiring endodontic surgery, selective use of Articaine for local anesthesia can shorten the onset time of anesthesia, the effect is significant.
