Analysis on the clinical efficacy of negative sealing drainage in the treatment of posterior thoracolumbar surgery complicated with cerebrospinal fluid leakage

Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of negative sealing drainage(VSD)in the treatment of posterior thoracolumbar surgery complicated with cerebrospinal fluid leakage.Methods A total of 30 patients complicated with cerebrospinal fluid leakage who underwent posterior thoracolumbar procedure in our hospital from January 2015 to January 2017 were selected,they were divided into observation group(n=15)and control group(n=15)according to random number table.The observation group was given VSD treatment,and the control group was given conventional treatment.The clinical curative effects were compared between the two groups.Results①After different methods of treatment,the length of stay in the observation group was(8.43±1.05)d,significantly lower than that of(11.54±0.15)d in the control group;the wound healing time in the observation group was(18.1±1.4)d,significantly lower than that of(31.2±2.1)d in the control group,the differences between the two groups were significant(P<0.05).②The incidence rate of complications in the observation group was 0.0%,which was lower than that of 40.0%in the control group,there was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).ConclusionThe application of VSD in the clinical treatment of patients receiving posterior thoracolumbar surgery complicated with cerebrospinal fluid leakage can effectively shorten the length of stay,reduce the risk of complications and improve the prognosis,which is worthy of application in clinical practice.
