Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship between the occurrence of hepatic failure after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)and the expression of myeloid-derived suppressor cell(MDSC).Methods Altogether 237 patients with HBV-related primary liver cancer(PLC)who were hospitalized in our hospital from May 2011 to January 2015 were selected as the subject of this research,according to the the occurrence of liver failure,all patients were divided into 105 cases in liver failure group and 132 cases in non-liver failure group.The difference of MDSC expressions after TACE was analyzed.According to the degree of liver failure,all the patients were divided into mild liver failure group(47 cases),moderate group(31 cases),severe group(27 cases),according to the prognosis of liver failure,all the patients were divided into death group(10 cases)and improvement group(95 cases).The difference of MDSC expressions in each group was compared.Results The MDSC-m phenotype of the PLC patients in liver failure group was significantly higher than that in the non-liver failure group,with significant difference(P=0.0405).MDSC-m of severe liver failure group was significantly higher than that of mild group,with significant difference between the two groups(P<0.001).MDSC-m level of the liver failure death group was significantly higher than that of improvement group,with significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01).Conclusion The occurrence and prognosis of hepatic failure after TACE is closely related to the high expression of MDSC.
