Effects observation of debridement under arthroscoPy combined with Chinese herbal medicine external treatment in treating senile knee osteoarthritis

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical effects of debridement under arthroscopy combined with Chinese herbal medicine external treatment in treating senile knee osteoarthritis. Methods 67 knee osteoarthritis patients from July 2014 to June 2015 in our hospital were selected as study object.Patients were divided into control group and treatment group according to whether willing to accept Chinese herbal medicine external treatment after operation.Patients in control group were treated by debridement under arthroscopy and sodium hyaluronate was injected into articular cavity. Patients in treatment group were futher given homemade Chinese herbal medicine unguent external treatment on the basis of control group.The effects of two groups were compared. Results Before operation，the Lysholm score of two groups had no statistical significance（P＞0.05）.The total effective rate of treatment group was 91.43%，higher than that was 71.88%in control group，and the difference was statistical significance between two groups（P＜0.05）. Conclusion Debridement under arthroscopy combined with Chinese herbal medicine external treatment in treating senile knee osteoarthritis has exact effects and is worth to popularize.
