Randomized,single-blinded controlled clinical study of Ozone intra-ocular injection at different time intervals in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis

Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of Ozone intra-ocular injection at different time intervals in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.Methods94 patients with unilateral knee osteoarthritis in our hospital from March 2015 to March 2016 were selected and divided into group A and group B according to the random number table method,47 patients in each group.All patients were given intra-articular injection of 30 μg/ml of Ozone,with 20 ml/times and a total of 4 times. The patients in group A were treated once every 3 days.The patients in group B were treated once every 7 days.The VAS score,WOMAC arthritis index score,the level of IL-1β and TNF-α in knee joint fluid before and after treatment for 1 week were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe WOMAC score and VAS score after treatment of the two groups was better than that before treatment,with significant difference(P<0.01).The WOMAC score and VAS score after treatment in group A was better than that in group B,with significant difference (P<0.01).The content of TNF-α and IL-1β in group A was lower than that in group B,with significant difference (P<0.05).ConclusionMedical Ozone intra-ocular injection is able to effectively treat knee osteoarthritis,shortened time interval can improve its therapeutic effect and improve joint function.
