Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical curative effect of different dosages of Metoprolol in the treatment of type 2 diabetes complicated with coronary heart disease. Methods 91 patients with type 2 diabetes complicated with coronary heart disease who were admitted to our hospital from August 2014 to August 2015 were selected. They were randomly assigned to low dosage group(n=45)and high dosage group(n=46).The patients in the low dosage group were given Metoprolol of 12.5 mg/dose and 2 doses/day.The patients in the high dosage group were given Metoprolol of 25.0 mg/dose and 2 doses/day.The improvement of cardiac functions and blood sugar and blood lipid levels were compared between the two groups of patients. Results The total effective rate in the treatment of coronary heart disease in the high dosage group was 71.7%,which was significantly higher than that of 53.3%in the low dosage group(P<0.05). After the treatment, the levels of fasting blood sugar, blood sugar 2 h after dinner,TC,TG and LDL-C in the high dosage group were all lower than those in the low dosage group,HDL-C level in the high dosage group was higher than that in the low dosage group[(2.03±0.39)mmol/L vs(1.35±0.46)mmol/L,P<0.05]. Conclusion High dosage of Metoprolol in the treatment of type 2 diabetes complicated with coronary heart disease has favorable clinical effects, which is able to effectively improve cardiac functions and effectively reduce blood sugar and blood lipid levels at the same time.It is safe and reliable, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
