Abstract:ObJective To explore the application of the sunshine medicine electronic monitoring system in the public hospitals at the county level.Methods The sunshine medicine control group and the sunshine medicine electronic monitoring system were established in the hospital in June 2014.The proportion of monthly consumption sum of antibiotics in the hospital in the total consumption sum of medication (the proportion of antibiotics),the proportion of total medicine income in the total income of the hospital(the proportion of medicine),the proportion of consumption sum of expensive antibiotics (unit price more than 50 yuan)in the total amount of antibiotics,the proportion of large prescription (more than 200 yuan)in all the prescriptions (the proportion of large prescriptions)were calculated and publicized.Results After application of the sunshine medicine electronic monitoring system in the hospital,the proportion of antibiotics and the proportion of medicine decreased from 24.8%and 38.8%in June 2014 to 15.2%and 34.8%in July 2015 respectively.The proportion of consumption sum of expensive antibiotics in the total amount of antibiotics decreased month by month from 31.62%in June 2014 to 14.33%in July 2015.The proportion of large prescriptions decreased month by month from 1.34%to 0.43%in the hospital,the average amount of prescriptions in outpatient department of the hospital decreased month by month from 61.9 yuan to 50.4 yuan.Conclusion Application of sunshine medicine electronic monitoring system in the hospital has achieved remarkable results in reduction of the irrational clinical medication.
