Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM）hot package combined with retention enema in the treatment of chronic pelvic inflammation.Methods 85 patients with chronic pelvic inflammation in our hospital from January 2012 to February 2015 were selected and divided into the control group（42 cases）and the observation group（43 cases）according to the dates of admission.The control group was given conventional drug therapy，the observation group was given TCM hot package combined with retention enema on the basis of the control group.The treatment effect was compared between the two groups and the symptom score before and after treatment was assessed in the both groups.Results The total effective rate in the observation group was 95.3%，which was higher than 76.2%in the control group，with significant difference （P＜0.05）.The symptom score in the two groups after treatment was lower than that before treatment，with significant difference （P＜0.05）.The symptom score in the observation group after treatment was lower than that in the control group，with significant difference （P＜0.05）.Conclusion Additional TCM hot package combined with retention enema has significant effect in the treatment of chronic pelvic inflammation and the symptoms are evidently relieved，it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
