Effect analysis of combination of tem poralmuscle sticking and extracranial-intracranial bypass in the treatment ofmoyamoya disease

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical effect of the combination of temporalmuscle sticking and extracranial-intracranial（EC-IC）bypass in the treatment ofmoyamoya disease.Methods 40 patients definitely diagnosed asmoyamoya diseases from May 2013 to June 2015 in our hospitalwere selected and divided into group A and group B according to a random number tablemethod.Group A was treated with temporalmuscle sticking，group B was treated with EC-IC bypass on the basis of the treatmentmethod of group A.All participants were required for 6-month follow up visits.The change of cerebral blood flow（CBF）was tested and the therapeutic effectwas compared in the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the group B was 75%，which was higher than 85%of the group A，with significant difference（P＜0.05）.The amount of cerebral blood flow，pulse pressure difference and peak value of blood flow in the group B was higher than that in the group A，with significant difference（P＜0.05）.Conclusion Combination of temporalmuscle sticking and EC-IC bypass in the treatment ofmoyamoya disease is significant，which plays a positive role in CBF supply.
