Abstract：Objective To study the effect of nursing midwife antepartum education on labor.Methods 300 primiparas coming from our hospital between April 2013 to April 2015 were randomly divided into observation group and the control group，each group 150 cases.The observation group received nursing midwife antepartum education before delivery，the control group received routine nursing.Compared the deliverymode，labor and effectivematched rate of two groups.Results The spontaneous vaginal delivery rate in observation group was 93.33%significantly higher than that was 46.67%in the control group，the labor in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group（P＜0.01），the effectivematched rate in observation group was 94.00%significantly higher than thatwas 79.33%in control group，the differenceswere statistically significant（χ2=13.962，P＜0.01），the average amount of bleeding in the observation group was （159.04±7.19）ml，significantly less than that was（234.38±8.81）ml in control group，the differences were statistically significant（t=81.143，P＜0.01）.Conclusion Nursingmidwife antepartum education can effectively improve the early maternal natural childbirth confidence and improve the spontaneous vaginal delivery rate，shorten the labor，decrease postpartum hemorrhage.It has important clinical value.
