Abstract:Objective To observe and compare the effect of delivery ball movement combined with free position midwifery on labor progress and pregnancy outcome. Methods 200 pregnant women with delivery in the obstetrical department of hospital from December 2015 to December 2016 were selected, and they were divided into observation group and control group according to random number table, with 100 cases in each group. The control group had delivery with traditional semi-reclining position, while the observation group took delivery ball movement combined with free position midwifery. The labor progress and pregnancy outcome were compared between the two groups. Results The time of the first stage of labor, the second stage of labor, the third stage of labor, total stage of labor in the observation group were (256.12±50.12),(36.01±15.37),(16.14±4.11),(301.11±70.01) min, which were less than (401.24±65.79),(47.13±25.11),(26.41±6.67),(482.14±94.57) min in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05);the incidence of vaginal delivery (75%) in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (43%),while the cesarean section rate in the observation group (19%) was lower than that in the control group (49%),the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05);the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage, neonatal asphyxia, aspiration syndrome, respiratory disorders in the observation group (1%,1%,2%,1%) were lower than those in the control group (8%,8%,9%,10%),the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Delivery ball movement combined with free position midwifery can effectively accelerate the stage of labor, improve pregnancy outcome, increase the rate of natural delivery.
