Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical effectof the Chinesemedicine long needle acupuncture technique in treating lumber disc herniation.Methods 200 patientswith lumber disc herniation in our hospital from October 2014 to October 2015 were divided into treatment group and control group by hospital number，with 100 cases in each group.The treatment group used the Chinese medicine long needle acupuncture technique to treat，every seven days treat once，twice was one course of treatment.Control group used the traditional acupuncture and tuina，once for every day，ten days was one course of treatment.The curative effectafter two courses of treatment between two groupswas evaluated.Results The total effective rate of treatment group was 98%，higher than 83%in control group，with statistical difference（P＜0.05）. Before treatment，the VAS scores of the two groups was not statistical difference（P＞0.05）；after treatment，VAS scores of two groupswas compared，the differencewas statistically significant（P＜0.05）.Therewere outstanding effect in clinical to use the Chinesemedicine long needle acupuncture technique to treat lumber disc herniation.Conclusion It is safe and effective to use the short needling technique of Chinesemedicine long needle acupuncture to treat lumber disc herniation，it isworth to popularization and application it in clinic.
