Study on the efficacy and safety of docetaxel combined with chemotherapy as first-line therapy for advanced gastric cancer

Abstract：Objective To explore the effective and safety of using docetaxel combined chemotherapy as first-line chemotherapy in advanced gastric cancer. Methods General data of 60 patientswith advanced gastric cancer in the hospital from March 2015 to March 2016 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatmentmethods，60 patientswith advanced gastric cancerwere divided into observation group （DOF program:Docetaxel，Oxaliplatin and Fluorouracil treatment）and control group （DCX program:Docetaxel，Cisplatin combined with Capecitabine treatment）.The treatment effects and occurrence of adverse reactions in two groupswere compared.Results Total effective rate and total control rate between two groups had no obvious difference （P＞0.05）；the adverse reactions in two groupsweremainly of thrombocytopenia，white blood cell decline，nausea and vomiting，diarrhea and neutrophil decline，and the adverse effects in the observation group were better than those in the control group，and the difference was statistically significant（χ2= 4.81、14.70，P=0.028、0.000）.Conclusion The DOF program and DCX program have similar short-term effects in treating advanced gastric cancer，while DOF program has less adverse reactions and higher safety than DCX program，which isworth to further research and extension.
