Abstract:Objective To explore the difference of multifocal electroretinogram between different degree of myopia and normal subjects.Methods 135 cases(255 eyes)given multifocal electroretinogram examination in our hospital from January 2013 to December 2015 were selected as study object and they were divided into 22 cases with 44 eyes in normal group,39 cases with 78 eyes in mild myopia group,31 cases with 62 eyes in moderate myopia group,28 cases with 56 eyes in high myopia group and 15 cases with 15 eyes in high myopia with contralateral retinal detachment group were examined by multifocal electroretinogram.The reaction density of each annular region in retinal during the first order reaction,latent time and amplitude of P1 wave,and the 3D model of the whole reaction density of retina among 5 groups was compared respectively.Results There were significant differencein the reaction density of each annular region in retinal during the first order reaction,and amplitude of P1 wave among 5 groups(P<0.05).With the increasing of the degree of myopia,the reaction density of each annular region in retinal during the first order reaction,and amplitude of P1 wave all decreased.There were significant differencesin latent time of P1 wave in the first ring among 5 groups(P<0.05),but no significant differences(P>0.05)in the second to sixth ring.Ⅰn the first ring,with the increasing of the degree of myopia,the latent time of P1 increased.There were significant differences between the high myopia with contralateral retinal detachment group and the high myopia group(P<0.05).There was significant difference(P<0.05)in the reaction density of retina among 5 groups.The degree of myopia was negatively correlated with the whole reaction density of retina (r=-0.507,P=0.011).Conclusion Using multifocal electroretinogram to monitor retinal function in myopic patients is helpful to find and assess early occult fundus change,and it can help to judge the prognosis and prognosis.
