Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of acupoint application combined with Gastrodin and Xuesaitong in the treatment of vertigo due to vertebra-basal artery insufficiency. Methods A total of 70 patients with vertigo due to vertebral-basilar artery insufficiency admitted to the Department of Internal Medicine of Fuzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2019 to June 2020 were selected as the research objects and divided into the control group and the observation group by random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Gastrodin and Xuesaitong, and the observation group was treated with acupoint application combined with Gastrodin and Xuesaitong for 10 days. The mean blood velocity(Vm)of the left vertebral artery(LVA),right vertebral artery(RVA)and basilar artery(BA),blood viscosity before and after treatment and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in Vm of LVA,RVA and BA between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the Vm of LVA、RVA、BA in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in the comparison of whole blood high shear viscosity, whole blood low shear viscosity and plasma viscosity between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the whole blood high shear viscosity, whole blood low shear viscosity and plasma viscosity of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of observation group was higher than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupoint application combined with Gastrodin and Xuesaitong in the treatment of vertebrobasilar insufficiency vertigo can effectively improve hemorheology, promote blood circulation, improve curative effect and has good safety.
