Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect and safety of Probucol combined with Aspirin in the treatment of severe M1 segment stenosis of middle cerebral artery. Methods A total of 100 patients with severe M1-stenosis admitted to Quanzhou First Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University from January 2017 to December 2019 were selected and divided into the control group and the experimental group according to random number table method, 50 cases in each group. The control group was given Aspirin treatment only, and the experimental group was given Probucol 0.5 g/time, bid, for 3 months on the basis of treatment in the control group. The M1 segment stenosis degree, lipid level and adverse drug reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The M1 stenosis degree of the experimental group was (62.03±2.15) %, low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) was (2.37±0.17) mmol/L, triacylglycerol(TG) was (1.18±0.14) mmol/L, total cholesterol(TC) was (3.06±0.12) mmol/L and fibrinogen (FIB) was (2.34±0.34) g/L,respectively, lower than that of the control group of (71.85±2.77) %, (3.37±0.2) mmol/L, (2.09±0.12) mmol/L, (5.02±0.12) mmol/L and (3.88±0.23) g/L, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) was (1.21±0.09) mmol/L, higher than that of the control group of (1.11±0.09) mmol/L, prothrombin time (PT) was (18.54±2.01) s, acti vatedpartial thromboplastin time (APTT) was (32.36±2.72)s, longer than tthat of the control group of (15.06±1.63) and (25.44±2.43) s, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Adverse drug reactions occurred in the two groups during treatment, including vomiting and abdominal distension in the experimental group and vomiting in the control group. There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reaction (P>0.05).Conclusion Probucol in the treatment of severe M1-segment of middle cerebral artery can significantly improve the degree of stenosis of middle cerebral artery, without increasing the incidence of adverse drug reactions.
