Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of health education map combined with family support on blood glucose control, self-efficacy and quality of life in elderly diabetic patients. Methods A total of 100 diabetes patients in the Department of Endocrinology of the Second People′s Hospital of Yichun City from January 2020 to December 2020 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional health education, while the observation group was treated with health education chart and family support. After intervention, the blood glucose level, self-efficacy score and life quality score of patients in the two groups were compared. Results The self-efficacy evaluation scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, the 2 h postprandial blood glucosee and glycosylated hemoglobin were lower than those of the control group after intervention, and the quality of life score was higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of health education map combined with family support intervention for elderly diabetic patients can significantly improve their sense of self-efficacy, improve the quality of life, and promote blood glucose control in patients.
