Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of Somatostatin in the treatment of patients with esophageal-gastric varices bleeding (EGVB) and nursing care. Methods A total of 80 EGVB patients admitted to Shenyang Sixth People′s Hospital from April to July 2020 were selected and divided into the control group (n=40) and the treatment group (n=40) according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with conventional Terley Vasopressin, while the treatment group treate with Somatostatin on the basis of the control group. The two groups were treated with comprehensive nursing intervention and treatment until discharge from hospital, and the treatment cycle was 3 d.The hemostasis time, blood transfusion volume in the process of treatment and rebleeding rate after treatment were compared between two groups;the changes of central venous pressure (CVP),portal static pressure (PVP) and motilin(MTL),gastrin (GAS),glucagon (GLC) in the serum in T0-T4 period were compared between the two groups. Results The hemostasis time of the treatment group was shorter than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in blood transfusion volume between the two groups (P>0.05),there was no significant difference in rebleeding rate between the two groups after treatment (P>0.05).Compared with before treatment, there was no significant change of CVP in the two groups after treatment (P>0.05).The levels of PVP,MTL,GAS and GLC in the serum of the two groups all decreased after treatment, and the indexes in the treatment group were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Somatostatin can significantly improve the hemodynamic indexes and gastrointestinal hormone GAS,MTL,GLC in the serum in EGVB patients, and enhance the therapeutic effect.
