Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of comprehensive nursing measures on prevention of hypercapnia complicated by laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. Methods A total of 55 patients treated in Foshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for laparoscopic radical resection of prostate cancer under general anesthesia from January 2018 to Decmber 2019 were selected as study subjects, and randomly divided them into control group (n=27) and obeservation groups (n=28) by envelope method. The patients in the control group received routine basic nursing care, and patients in the observation group received targeted comprehensive nursing care during the perioperative period. The oxygen saturation (SpO2) and carbon dioxide partial pressure (PaCO2) were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in SpO2 between the two groups during the perioperative period (P>0.05).The baseline of PaCO2 in the two groups was flat before operation, but the differences were statistically significant in the observation group during and after operation compared with the control group (P<0.05).Hypercapnia occurred in 2 patients in the observation group, with an incidence of 7.14%,and in 7 patients in the control group, with an incidence of 25.9%,with statistically significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion Laparoscopic radical resection of prostate cancer is easy to be complicated with hypercapnia, and comprehensive nursing measures can effectively reduce the incidence of hypercapnia. It is worth popularizing and applying in clinical practice and operation nursing of various diseases.
