Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with Zheng Shuhuo Tincture in the treatment of sensory abnormality after lumbar discectomy under foramen endoscope. Methods A total of 80 patients with lumbar disc herniation who had postoperative sensory dysfunction after intervertebral foramen endoscopy admitted to Shandong Qingdao Hospital of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine from May 2018 to November 2019 were selected as study subjects.According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received conventional acupuncture, and the observation group combined Zheng Shuhuo Tincture locally on the basis of the control group. The overall sensory score of feet,two-point discrimination between plantar and dorsum after treatment, the conduction velocity of median nerve and peroneal nerve and the incidence of complications after followed up for 6 months were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the overall sensory score of the foot in both groups was higher than that before treatment, and the overall sensory score of the foot in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the distance between the two points of the sole and dorsum of the foot in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).During the follow-up period, the conduction velocity of median nerve and peroneal nerve in the observation group were faster than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture combined with local application of Zheng Shuhuo Tincture can effectively improve the sensory function of lower limbs, promote the recovery of sensory discrimination and reduce postoperative complications for patients with abnormal sensation after lumbar discectomy under foramen endoscope.
