Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation on tonsil hypertrophy. Methods A total of 60 patients with tonsil hypertrophy admitted to Donghai People′s Hospital in Jiangsu Province from December 2018 to December 2019 were selected as the study subjects, and they were divided into observation group (30 cases) and control group (30 cases) by random number table method. The observation group was treated with low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation, and the control group was treated with tonsillectomy.Operation time, intraoperative blood loss, pain score and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time of observation group was shorter than that of control group, and the amount of intraoperative blood loss was less than that of control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The postoperative pain score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was 3.3%, lower than 33.3% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The application of low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation in the treatment of tonsillar hypertrophy has good clinical efficacy, and can effectively reduce the operation time and intraoperative bleeding, reduce pain and reduce postoperative complications. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
