Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Compound Toothong Tincture on gingivitis and pericoronitis.Methods A total of 100 patients with gingivitis and pericoronitis treated in Department of Stomatology, People′s Hospital of Diaobingshan City from March 2018 to May 2019 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into control group (n=50) and experimental group (n=50) according to calculated random number. The control group was treated with iodine glycerin, and the experimental group was treated with compound toothpain tincture. The pain scores after 2 weeks of treatment and the pain relief and inflammation subside before and after treatment of the two groups were compared. Results After 2 weeks of treatment, the proportion of patients with pain score ＜3 in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05). The pain relief scores of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group at 3 and 7 days after treatment, with statistical significance (P＜0.05). The gingivitis index of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group at 3 and 7 days after treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion The treatment of gingivitis and pericoronitis with Compound Toothong Tincture is effective in relieving pain and improving the quality of life of patients.
