Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of chair side CAD/CAM glass ceramic inlay and light curing composite resin in the treatment of wedge-shaped defect. Methods A total of 40 patients with wedge-shaped teeth filling in Stomatology Hospital Affiliated to Xiamen Medical College from June 2017 to August 2019 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into study group and control group by random number table method, with 20 patients in each group. The study group was repaired with CAD/CAM glass ceramic inlay beside the chair, and the control group was filled with light curing composite resin. The patients were followed up for 2 years after treatment. The treatment effect, restoration aesthetics, quality of life score and long-term effect were compared between the two groups. Results The success rate of repair in the study group was 95.00%, which was higher than 55.00% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The color, semitaphaneity and edge aesthetic score of the study group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in morphology between the two groups (P>0.05). The scores of quality of life in the study group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The long-term effect of the study group was better than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Chair side CAD / CAM glass ceramic inlay has a good effect in the repair and treatment of wedge-shaped defects, with high tooth aesthetics and good long-term effect, which is worthy of popularization.
