Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of glass fiber post and zirconia all-ceramic crowns in the treatment of molar defects. Methods A total of 79 cases of posterior molar tooth defects (168 tooth defects) admitted to the Department of Stomatology, Fuzhou First People′s Hospital from October 2019 to March 2020 were selected as the research objects. According to the repair methods selected by the patients, they were divided into a control group (39 patients, 81 teeth) and an observation group (40 patients, 87 teeth). The control group was repaired with cast post and cobalt-chromium porcelain crown, and the observation group was repaired with glass fiber post and zirconia all-ceramic crown. Both groups of patients were followed up for 6 months to compare the repair success rate, chewing function and repair effect of the two groups. Results The success rate of repair was 88.89% in the observation group and 95.40% in the control group, and there was no statistical significance between the two groups (P>0.05). There was no significant difference between the mastication efficiency of the affected side of the observation group and the healthy side (P>0.05),the mastication efficiency of the affected side of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The marginal tightness, color matching, gum health, restoration integrity, and surface wear of the observation group were better than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The clinical effect of glass fiber post zirconia all-ceramic crown repairing the molar tooth defect after treatment is significant, with little impact on the patient′s masticatory ability, and the repair effect is good, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
