Abstract:Objective To investigate the short-term clinical effect of 4K ultra high definition laparoscopy in the treatment of rectal cancer. Methods Clinical data of 60 patients who underwent laparoscopic radical resection of rectal cancer in Huai′an Second People′s Hospital from January 2018 to October 2020 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different laparoscopic systems used in surgery, the patients were divided into 4K group and 2D group, with 30 patients in each group. The 4K group was operated with German Xion 4K Ultra High Definition laparoscopic system, while the 2D group was operated with German Storz High Definition laparoscopic system. The operative time, intraoperative blood loss, number of lymph nodes, postoperative exhaust time, postoperative first time out of bed and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results All 60 patients successfully completed laparoscopic surgery. The operation time of 4K group was shorter than that of 2D group, the intraoperative blood loss of 4K group was less than that of 2D group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the number of lymph nodes acquired, postoperative exhaust time, postoperative first time out of bed and incidence of postoperative complications between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The 4K ultra high definition laparoscopic system has the same safety and effectiveness as the 2D high-definition laparoscopic system. The short-term outcome is efficient.Compared with the 2D high definition laparoscopic system, the 4K ultra high-definition laparoscopic system can reduce the operative time and intraoperative blood loss in laparoscopic rectal cancer surgery.
