Objective To explore the application effect of new dressing care for open infected wounds of orthopedic surgery patients in preventing postoperative infections.Methods A total of 90 orthopedic surgery patients admitted from January to December 2019 in Huadu District People′s Hospital of Guangzhou were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into the control group(45 cases)and the study group(45 cases)according to the random mumber table method.The control group was treated with conventional gauze dressing.The study group was provided with new dressings to change dressings.The hospitalization time,the number of dressing changes,the healing time of orthopedic open infection wounds,the incidence of complications and the evaluation of patients′ satisfaction with nursing care were observed and compared between the two groups.Results The hospitalization time and healing time of orthopedic open infection wounds in the study group were shorter than those in the control group,the number of dressing changes in the study group was less than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications was lower than that in the control,.the total satisfaction of nursing care of the study group was higher than that of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of new dressing care for orthopedic open infection wounds of orthopedic surgery patients obtains significant clinical effects.It can shorten the wound healing time,reduce the incidence of complications and improve patients′ satisfaction with nursing work.It is worthy of extensive promotion in the clinic.
