Application effect of PBL teaching mode combined with Internet platform in orthopedic surgery teaching

Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of the PBL combined with the internet platform in orthopedic surgery teaching of clinical students.Methods A total of 60 undergraduate students who were on clinical probation in the Department of Orthopedics,the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi′an Jiaotong University from May 2020 to October 2020 were selected as the research objects and divided into the experimental group and the control group by drawing lots,with 30 cases in each group.The experimental group was taught by PBL combined with Internet platform,while the control group was taught by traditional teaching mode.The test scores and teaching effect evaluation of the two groups were compared.Results The scores of theoretical examination and practical skill operation in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of teaching satisfaction,interest in improving independent learning,analytical ability and clinical thinking cultivation in experimental group were higher than those in control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The teaching mode of PBL combined with the internet platform has significant effect in orthopedic surgery teaching,and it is worthy of being widely used and promoted in orthopedic surgery teaching.
