Abstract:Glioma is a primary malignant tumor of nervous system, accounting for about 40% of all brain tumors and 80% of brain malignant tumors, and it is easy to relapse. At present,World Health Organization(WHO)divides gliomas into four grades,of which gradeⅠ-Ⅱare low-grade gliomas, including diffuse astrocytoma, pilocytic astrocytoma, etc.,while gradeⅢ-Ⅳis high-grade glioma, which has a higher degree of malignancy, such as glioblastoma, anaplastic astrocytoma, etc. Most of the high-grade gliomas will recur in a short time after treatment, and the recurrence rate is high, which will invade multiple cerebral lobes and cause brain metastasis. The short-term mortality of recurrent highgrade glioma is high. How to effectively improve the treatment effect is the focus of clinical research. In order to pay more attention to recurrent high-grade glioma and improve its therapeutic effect,a large number of literatures on clinical treatment of recurrent high-grade glioma in recent five years were reviewed. After eliminating the unreasonable data and insufficient empirical evidence, the treatment progress of recurrent high-grade glioma was summarized,so as to provide clinical reference and reference.
