Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Kidney-warming Monkshood-separated Moxibustion on leukocytopenia caused by chemotherapy. Methods Sixty patients who were diagnosed as malignant tumors and developed leukocytopenia caused by chemotherapy in our hospital from October 2017 to May 2019 were selected as subjects. They were divided into the control group (n=30) and treatment group (n=30) by envelope method. The control group was treated with Batyl Alcohol, and the treatment group was treated with Kidney-warming Monkshood-separated Moxibustion. The treatment effect, therapeutic indicators, and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The hospital stay in the treatment group was shorter than that in the control group, the number of using human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) and treatment cost were less than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in the scores of physical health, mental health, social relations, and surrounding environment between the two groups (P>0.05).After treatment, the quality of life scores including physical health, mental health, social relationship, and surrounding environment in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The use of Kidney-warming Monkshood-separated Moxibustion for patients with leukocytopenia caused by chemotherapy can effectively enhance the treatment efficiency, further optimize the therapeutic indicators, and greatly improve the quality of life.It is worth promoting in clinical treatment of patients with leukocytopenia caused by chemotherapy.
