Abstract:Objective To investigate the predictive value of estradiol(E2),progesterone and β-human chorionic gonadotropin(β-HCG)levels and their trends on pregnancy outcomes. Methods The clinical data of 80 early pregnant woman who were admitted to our hospital from November 2017 to November 2018 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the pregnancy outcome at 12 weeks of gestation, they were divided into the continuing pregnancy group(54 cases)and the missed abortion group(26 cases).Combined with the history of the initial diagnosis,33 patients in the continuing pregnancy group had no symptoms of threatened abortion(group A),and 21 patients had symptoms of threatened abortion(group B).In the missed abortion group,17 patients had no symptoms of threatened abortion(group C),and 9 patients had symptoms of threatened abortion(group D).The levels of E2,progesterone and β-HCG in the first consultation day and their daily rate of change of the continuing pregnancy group and the missed abortion group were compared. The levels of E2,progesterone and β-HCG in groups A,B,C and D were compared at 12 weeks of gestation. Results The levels of E2 and progesterone in the first trimester of the continuing pregnancy group were higher than those in the missed abortion group, and the daily change rates of E2 and progesterone were higher than those in the missed abortion group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups in the level of β-HCG and the daily change rate(P>0.05).At 12 weeks of gestation, the levels of E2 and progesterone in the four groups were significantly different(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the level of β-HCG between the four groups(P>0.05).The levels of E2 and progesterone in group A and B were higher than those in group C and D,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in E2 and progesterone levels between group A and B(P>0.05).And there were no significant differences in E2 and progesterone levels between group C and D(P>0.05).Conclusion The first E2 and progesterone levels and their changing trend have certain guiding significance for the outcome of pregnancy.Higher levels and greater increases in E2 and progesterone indicate good pregnancy outcomes.
