Abstract:Objective To explore the synergistic protective effect of Chinese medicine Jasmine combined with remote ischemic postconditioning (RIPOC) on myocardium in rats with acute myocardial infarction. Methods Forty-six clean SD rats were used to replicate the model of acute myocardial infarction and randomly divided into four groups, namely the model group (n=10), the Chinese medicine Jasmine group (n=12), the RIPOC group (n=12) and the combined group(Chinese medicine Jasmine+RIPOC) (n=12).Another 10 healthy SD rats were selected as the sham operation group.Cardiac function indicators (left ventricular ejection fraction [LVEF], left ventricular end-systolic volume [LVESV], and left ventricular end-diastolic volume [LVEDV]) were measured by echocardiography, cardiac weight index (HWI) and left ventricular mass index (LVMI) were calculated by weighing, and the contents of malondialdehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) in myocardial tissue were detected. Results The LVEF and content of SOD in the Chinese medicine Jasmine group, RIPOC group and combined group were higher than those in the model group, the LVESV,LVEDV, HWI, LVMI and content of MDA were lower than those in the model group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05 or P<0.01).The LVEF of the model group was lower than that of the sham operation group,HWI and LVMI were higher than those of the sham operation group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).The MDA content in the model group was higher than that in the sham operation group, the SOD content was lower than that in the sham operation group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01).Conclusion Chinese medicine Jasmine combined with RIPOC has a synergistic effect on the protection of cardiac function and ventricular remodeling in rats with acute myocardial infarction, which is worth promoting.
