Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of acupuncture and moxibustion combined with Chinese medicine treating simple obesity in children. Methods From January 2018 to January 2019, a total of 100 cases of children with simple obesity were selected as research objects, according to the computer random method, they were divided into the experimental group (50 cases) and the control group (50 cases). The experimental group used comprehensive treatment of the combination of acupuncture and moxibustion and Chinese medicine, the control group used traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture and moxibustion treatment. Both groups were treated for 2 courses (2 months), and the differences in biochemical indexes, body mass index (BMI), and serum leptin levels were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in the levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL), total cholesterol (TC) and fasting blood glucose (FBG) between the two groups after treatment (P>0.05).The levels of low-density lipoprotein(LDL), triglyceride (TG) and insulin (FINS) in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).The BMI and serum leptin level of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The BMI and serum leptin level in the experimental group after treatment were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The comprehensive treatment of Chinese medicine can effectively reduce the level of serum leptin, BMI, FINS, blood lipid and so on in children with simple obesity.
