Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of transhepatic plasma resection of prostate in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Methods The clinical data of 138 patients with BPH treated in our hospital from January 2015 to June 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. According to the treatment scheme, the patients were divided into control group (69 cases) and observation group (69 cases). The patients in the control group were treated with transurethral resection of prostate and the patients in the observation group were treated with transurethral prostatectomy. The surgical indexes and residual urine volume of prostate symptom score were compared between the two groups. The incidence rates of penile erectile dysfunction and retrograde ejaculation in the two groups were analyzed. Results The operation time, postoperative bladder irrigation time and indwelling catheter time of the patients in the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The amount of intraoperative blood loss and residual urine volume in the observation group were less than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The prostate symptom score (IPSS score), the incidence of penile erectile dysfunction and retrograde ejaculation in the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Transhepatic plasma resection of prostate is effective in the treatment of BPH, which can promote the rehabilitation of patients.
