Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of Baclofen combined with Carbamazepine in the treatment of primary trigeminal neuralgia, and to provide reference for clinicians to choose a reasonable regimen. Methods A total of 88 patientswith primary trigeminal neuralgia diagnosed and treated in our hospital from July 2018 to June 2019 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number tablemethod, the research objects were divided into control group and experimental group,44cases in each group. The control group was given Carbamazepine treatment, and the experimental group was treated with the combination of Baclofen and Carbamazepine. The clinical effect, pain and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total clinical effective rate of the experimental group(95.45%)was higher than that of the control group(79.55%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups in visual analogue scale (VAS)score before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the VAS scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the VAS score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of patientswith primary trigeminal neuralgia, the combination of Baclofen and Carbamazepine has a significant clinical effect, can significantly improve the symptoms of patients, and it has good security. It is recommended to promote the clinical application.
