Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of Metformin combined with Insulin therapy on blood glucose and maternal and infantoutcome of gestational diabetesmellitus(GDM).Methods From January 2018 to June 2019,80 patientswith GDM admitted to Shenyangmaternal and child health hospital were selected as the research objects.According to the random number tablemethod, the research objectswere divided into control group and experimental group,40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Insulin, and the experimental group was treated with Metformin and Insulin. The blood glucose level, pregnancy outcome and neonatal adverse outcome were compared between the two groups. Results The fasting blood glucose,2h postprandial blood glucose, and glycated hemoglobin levels in experimental group were lower than those in control group, the differenceswere statistically significant(P<0.05);the rates of hypertension, cesarean section,pre-eclampsia and preterm delivery of the experimental group were lower than those in control group, the differenceswere statistically significant(P<0.05);the incidence of adverse neonatal outcomes of the experimental group was lower than that in control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combined medication of Metformin and Insulin can not only improve the blood glucose level, but also reduce the adverse pregnancy outcome and neonatal adverse outcome. This treatment regimen is safe and worthy of clinical application.
