Abstract:Objective To study the effect of Erythromycin Ointment in the puncture of the blunt needle of intemal arteriovenous fistula. Methods A total of 46 patients with intemal arteriovenous fistula treated in our hospital from September 2017 to February 2018 were selected as the subjects. The patients were divided into control group (23 cases)and observation group (23 cases)according to random number table method. The control group was treated with routine post-puncture treatment, while the observation group was treated with erythromycin ointment at the puncture site. The complications and the incidence of infection after treatment between two groups were compared between the two groups. Results Patients in the observation group complication rate was 17.39%,which was lower than that of the control group(34.78%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The infection rate of the observation group was 13.04%,which was lower than that of the control group(21.74%).The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of erythromycin ointment in blunt needle buttonhole puncture of intemal arteriovenous fistula is simple, convenient, safe, effective and cheap. It can easily remove the scab of the wound while preventing the infection of internal fistula. It is worth popularizing in clinic.
